The Commons — Privacy-Oriented Digital Communities
The question

Why it matters
Section titled “Why it matters”Online spaces shape how people communicate, share knowledge, and participate with one another. The Commons begins from the question of whether those spaces can be designed around user control, privacy, and meaningful interaction rather than treating them as secondary concerns.
What is being explored
Section titled “What is being explored”The Commons explores a community environment that brings together conversation, shared knowledge, groups, and collaborative activity. The emphasis is on investigating the shape and values of such a space, not presenting a public service or finished platform.
